Ukiyo-e Art 6

A popular Japanese art form from the 17th to the 19th century was ukiyo-e. Woodblock prints and paintings depicting female beauties, kabuki performers and sumo wrestlers, historical and folkloric scenes, travel scenes and landscapes, flora and fauna, and eroticism were created by its artists. The phrase "pictures of the floating world" is ukiyo-e.
